Acoustic Folk Jam Night at the Coopersville Farm Museum Sponsored by the Coopersville Farm Museum. Sing or play old time favorites, or sit back and listen while local musicians perform gospel, country, bluegrass, and folk. Refreshments provided by members. $4 per person; children 12 and under are free. http://www.coopersvillefarmmuseum.org/ All Year Round - 4th Saturday of the Month - 10am - 1pm Kids, Crafts, and Critters at the Coopersville Farm Museum Sponsored by the Coopersville Farm Museum. Visit bunnies and other small or baby animals; enjoy crafts and activities such as rope making, corn shelling, beading, puppet theater, Legos, and more. http://www.coopersvillefarmmuseum.org/ April through December Coopersville & Marne Railway Train Rides The Coopersville & Marne Railway is a non-profit historic railway operating vintage locomotives and circa – 1920’s rail cars in a seven mile ride from Coopersville to Marne. Passenger trains run a route from early spring to winter and feature railroad history and education. Special themed train rides include music, The Easter Bunny Train, Veteran’s Memorial Day Troop Train, The Great Train Robbery, Pumpkin Train, and Santa Train! Tickets, schedule, chartering your special event and more information can be found here: http://www.coopersvilleandmarne.org/ August and September Quilts and Their Stories at the Coopersville Farm Museum A beautiful display of over 100 locally made quilts displayed with the stories behind each quilt. http://www.coopersvillefarmmuseum.org/ Second Weekend in August Annual Coopersville Tractor Show at the Coopersville Farm Museum Sponsored by the Coopersville Farm Museum and Coopersville Antique Tractor Society. In conjunction with the Del Shannon Days events; Antique Tractors, Tractor Parade, Tractor Obstacle Games; as well as Live Music and Kids Events. http://www.coopersvillefarmmuseum.org/ Coopersville Rotary Summerfest and Car Show Thousands of folks descend on Coopersville for the biggest showing of classic cars, race cars trucks, trains, and tractors. Kids Fest kicks off the event on Thursday with carnival rides and a race car show. The Car Cruise takes place on Friday and 500 to 600 vehicles crack open their hoods for the Car Show on Saturday. Live Music, Beer Tent, Arts & Crafts, Food Vendors, Pancake Breakfast and the not-to-be-missed After Cruise Party are scheduled. Proceeds benefit North East Ottawa Forum (NEO Forum), the Rotary Scholarship Fund, and several local non-profit groups and charities. http://www.coopersvillecarshow.com First Friday in December Annual Nighttime Christmas Parade The annual nighttime Christmas Parade is one of the longest, continually running Christmas Parades in Michigan. The parade starts at 6:30 p.m. at Eastmanville & Main streets in downtown Coopersville and runs to the Coopersville Area Public Schools campus on East Street. Santa disembarks his sleigh and will greet children at the Community Service building to listen to their wish lists and have photos taken.
